It's officially Oscar season!! →
I am rather surprised at all the nominations for Winter’s Bone. And where the hell is Mila Kunis for Best Supporting Actress? She had TONS of buzz, and well deserved. And why is Mark Ruffalo suddenly a nominee for The Kids Are All Right? There has been no buzz, despite his good performance. I am surprised by the lack of Blue Valentine noms, even if some predicted that if anyone would get one...

I am determined to discover new bands while I am here, even if VIVA UK constantly plays everything I would hear on Top 40 in the US. Even when I’ve gone out to dinner, the places play obscure tunes by famous American bands. There’s a lot more overlap in culture than I expected, particularly when it comes to fashion. I would have laughed at someone if they told me an Urban Outfitters...

At one time, Edward Murrow lived in the flat house next door. I think that’s pretty cool. London is incredible! The area Chloe and I are in is really nice, and our flats are really spacious. My room has a small balcony, and our lounge area has a huge window that brings in a lot of light. Earlier this week when my dad was in town, I was able to see within two days: Big Ben, House of...

Tangled was probably the most adorable, feel-good film I have seen since Toy Story 3. And it was a thousand times better than The Princess and the Frog. I liked the story, the animation, and the songs. My one complaint, why was Zachary Levi delegated to sing a part of one song?! I mean come on, the man’s a really impressive singer [if you don’t believe me look up his duet with...

Is it Saturday yet??
I am about to state the obvious: packing for a four-month trip is near impossible. That is three seasons (winter, spring, and summer) of work, class, travel, and countless parties to plan outfits for. I have packed the basics: black pencil skirts, sweaters, jeans, lightweight dresses. Do I really need my cute see-through UO shirts? Well, no. But I don’t really need my ridiculous leopard...
